Edith Mensah-Ansah is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and her genuine passion for helping others is evident in everything she does. She began her nursing journey after earning her Bachelor’s degree from Stratford University and then advanced her education with a Master’s degree from Walden University. From the very beginning, Edith has been deeply committed to supporting individuals and families as they navigate mental health challenges.
During nursing school, Edith gained valuable experience at Loudoun County Mental Health, Substance Abuse & Developmental Services, where she assisted people dealing with substance use disorders, behavioral crises, and developmental issues. She went on to care for patients with acute psychiatric conditions at Dominion Hospital and Novant Health UVA Health System at Prince William Medical Center. Edith has also worked in the Emergency Room at The George Washington University Hospital, where she sharpened her clinical skills, learned to stay calm in high-pressure situations, and developed a strong appreciation for holistic patient care.
Edith’s approach is straightforward: mental health care should be safe, collaborative, and empowering. She is dedicated to meeting people where they are, listening without judgment, and bringing both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to every interaction. Edith recognizes that each person’s journey is unique, so she partners with her clients to create treatment plans that truly align with their lives and aspirations.
